Gold is usually most active during the London session and especially the London–New York overlap (roughly 12:00 to 16:00 UTC), when US data is released and both big centres are trading.
Is gold traded 24 hours a day?
Almost: gold trades from Sunday evening to Friday evening (US time), with a short daily break around the New York close. Liquidity is thinnest in the late US and early Asian hours.
